Choose to Leave Up Your Pre Lit Artificial Christmas Tree

One of the hardest parts about the holidays being over is the lack of lights, decorations, and magic. It’s still winter, and after everything is taken down, everything just feels so dark and dull. It’s no wonder that many people experience the post-holiday blues. Our diets have gone out the window, it’s still cold out, and there are no big holidays to look forward to for quite a while.

Allow me to submit a solution…ready? Try leaving your Christmas tree up for the year! I can hear the gasps and head shaking already. But hear me out!

No, it’s not tacky, and yes, you can do this! This is perhaps the best part of owning an artificial Christmas tree. With a real tree, you wouldn’t be able to do this long thanks to dropping needles, dying branches, etc. By choosing to leave up to your pre-lit artificial Christmas tree, you can revel in the beauty of light all year long.

“But it won’t be special anymore…” I can hear all the neigh sayers say. Christmas trees aren’t the only thing that makes Christmas special. It’s family and friends, food, and so much more that all come together for the experience.

You coughed up a good amount of dough for this tree, so why not get your money’s worth by coming home to it every evening and allowing it to bath your house in a beautiful glow? Who cares what the neighbors think; your happiness is all that matters.

I tried this 10 years ago with my fiber optic Christmas tree. I moved it to my bedroom instead of keeping it in the living room. I turn it on every evening while I do my bedtime routine, and it casts a warm and calming glow over my bedroom and bathroom. I have it on a timer, and each night I watch the lights change until I fall asleep in peace and comfort.

I dare you to give it a try. Why just enjoy this special symbol for a month, when you can enjoy it all year long? And what have you got to lose, except those holiday blues?
